Rod Taylor Feat. Capleton – His Imperial Majesty (Reggae Fever)
Jah Observers played the original in one of the high points of last years Carnival, and an update has been long overdue. The strongest of a series on the rhythm from Swiss Record store and label Reggae Fever, this re-imagining is every bit as good as Anthony B’s World A Reggae music on Bad 2000 and Johnny Osbourne’s Truths and Rights on Massive B. The rhythm is crisp and respectful, Rod’s voice is in great shape, and Capleton gives a restrained and measured performance. This is already a sound system classic just a month after release. Do not miss.
