Dereck Rose & Whirlwind

Jamaican born, Brixton raised, recently returned from Israel, where he had a reggae band, "Roots Africa", in which he was the main singer and songwriter.

The band was dubbed "The number 1 reggae band in Israel" by Israeli media, and described as "One of the best reggae bands outside of Jamaica" by the International Reggae Update in America. He played all the main festivals and breakfast TV shows, and released an album called "Rise Oh Israel" with a leading record company (NMC).

Dereck formed Whirlwind, with a group of professional and experienced musicians, and together they're bringing the music into the international arena.

Dereck's unique songs are inspired by his traveling experiences in America, Africa, Europe and Israel. They are all set in the real authentic Caribbean Roots rhythm, combined with Middle Eastern, South American, Renaissance, And self-styled influences.

The songs carry a new positive and encouraging message of Truth, Peace, And Hope in these times of Political Correctiveness.
